Virginia Park is a beautifully restored old hunting lodge in Co. Cavan. It has become a very popular wedding venue with couples who adore great food and attention to detail.
Under the skilled hand of renowned chef Richard Corrigan, this lodge is earning a wonderful reputation as a very stylish and special wedding venue.
After a beautiful ceremony in Longford cathedral, we all went to this lovely lodge and thankfully the March showers stayed away until the very end of the day. Super timing!
Thanks to Maeve and Clarke for allowing me to share a few photos from their day and for the details below.

It all started back in 2009 when Heather and Mark chose me to shoot their wedding at Rathsallagh, Co. Wicklow.
Roll on 7 years and 3 kids later, we are meeting again to do a lovely family shoot. This is one of the things about this job that I just love! Getting to meet up again and photograph the new additions!
These guys had great fun in the studio. Sometimes a studio setting can be a bit scary for kids but not these three!
This family shot is a great example of how clothing can really make the portrait better. The blue colours they are wearing all blend in well but don’t look contrived.
We chose to keep baby Eamonn in his babygrow and I love that you can see the little folds in his legs. Being in bare feet also makes the whole thing look very relaxed.
Thanks to Heather and Mark for letting me share their pictures ♡
I have never met two people who had such fun at their wedding. The whole event was so relaxed and informal, you couldn’t help but have a great day out!
Ballymagarvey is a very cool venue. Surrounded by lovely gardens and old brick, it’s a bit like stepping back in time. Guests wandered through the house sipping on champagne, admiring the lovely wedding details around them.

After meeting each other at lots of 21st birthday parties, Michelle and Barry realised that they should be together. Michelle was enamoured by Barry’s cheeky smile and sense of humour, yes check out this very cheeky smile!
Michelle and Barry chose a mid-September day last year, to say their ‘I do’s’. Slane church was full of well-wishers and thankfully the September sun shone down. We went back to the gorgeous Tankardstown House for photos and drinks and the best bit was that everyone was able to enjoy their drinks outside, which is something that I think every bride and groom would love.
