This was another very, very, very wet day in Co. Wicklow. One of  those days where it’s dark and pouring rain for the entire day, but hey, who cares when you’re in love right?!

Cherly and Leon chose to do a ‘first look’, it’s quite an American trend which is starting to catch on over this side of the Atlantic. The bride and groom choose to see and meet each other before the wedding ceremony and get some photos taken. It’s a private moment between them only (and me!). You can see from the photos below that Leon was really emotional (we love an emotional groom!) when he saw Cheryl for the first time. This wedding was simply cool. Ballybeg is so relaxed and quirky and retro and has such a great feel to it. People always have loads of fun here.

There were great details, ‘his and hers’ cocktails for everyone, jam-jar drinks, candles everywhere and the most beautiful room for a ceremony I have ever seen. Ballybeg have a converted barn, on site, where you can have your wedding ceremony in front of a roaring fire and the whole thing is completely candle lit.
