Hollie owns a gorgeous pre-loved designer boutique in Sandymount in Dublin 4, called Cobblerswardrobe selling all kinds of wonderful when it comes to ladies vintage clothing. So it was no surprise that Hollie and Andy’s wedding was super-stylish. Hollie wore a gorgeous vintage 1960’s dress bought in Belfast, with a veil/cape at the back attached to the dress. Andy, who works with his father in the funeral home business, looked handsome in his 3 piece suit from Maurice Abraham’s well know and admired establishment in Dublin.

The venue was Coolbawn Quay in Tipperary on the sunniest of late-October days and below are a few of my favourite shots…

Hollie & Andy’s details.

Wedding dress – Archive 12, a vintage boutique in Belfast

Ice blue bridesmaids wrap dresses and faux-fur jackets – Topshop

Andy’s suit – Maurice Abrahams, South Anne Street, D 2

Flowers at church  – Signature flowers

In China, wearing red means good luck! Hannah and her family were in the studio recently, all wearing red and I think it worked really well.

Choosing the right colours to wear for a family shoot is really important. After all, you will most likely be looking at this family photo in a frame on the wall of your home, for years to come. Hannah lives here with her husband and son and waited until her parents were visiting to come in for a special family shoot.

2016. The Best.

13.01.2017

2016 was my 16th year shooting weddings and it didn’t disappoint. There were so many lovely couples who I met and spent time with, many of which I would easily have loved more time with as they were such good company. Thank you ALL for being so amazing!

The nice thing about this job is that so often we do meet again, when little babies come along and more photos, of a different kind, are needed.

Weddings took me all over the country this year, in every kind of mixed-bag weather, as you can well imagine.

It was really difficult to narrow down some favourite images , there were just too many.

Bring on 2017…

A beautiful wedding from start to finish happened on a sunny day in the middle of the summer.

Laura got ready at home and travelled down to Culmullen church for a 1.30pm ceremony.

I think this is my new favourite church, by the way. Gorgeous and light-filled and just the right size to seat everyone comfortably.

The atmosphere was giddy and helped along by a good-humoured priest who made the ceremony a memorable one.

We travelled to Virginia Park Lodge in Cavan for a perfect outdoor summer reception. Guests clinked glasses together outside in the sun-filled garden as we chose the shaded parts for some couple shots. The light could not have been better and I got so many beautiful images here. A big thanks to Laura and Niall for allowing me to share some of these images. It is so important for photographers like me to be able to share their work with other brides and grooms so they can see what we can do 🙂

Oh how I love to work on these types of shoots, kids outdoors in fabulous clothes, oh my…..

Leigh Tucker is the designer behind the fabulous willow brand, the cool and stylish kids collection at Dunnes Stores.

Her adorable children Lena, Harper, Willow and their pal Flynn are the models in these shoots and they well used to being photographed in Mommy’s gorgeous gear!

This year, for the Autumn/Winter shoot, the location was the lovely woods, hidden up behind the old Sutton Castle Hotel.
